The museum is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, creed (religion), color, sex (including gender expression), national origin, sexual orientation, military status, age, disability, marital status or domestic violence victim status.
Due to the high volume of applicants, we are only able to contact those candidates whose skills and background best fit our needs.
The Neue Galerie is always on the lookout for motivated individuals with a passion for the arts, who are eligible to work in the U.S. To be considered for future openings, please email your CV and cover letter with area of interest to [email protected].
The Neue Galerie offers paid internship opportunities to qualified applicants eligible to work in the U.S.
Internships are awarded year-round for periods of at least three months. They are not specialized but will give the intern an opportunity to become familiar with all departments of the museum. Responsibilities focus on general administration, including answering the phone, handling correspondence, and maintaining mailing and RSVP lists. Depending on individual interest and aptitude, interns may assist with aspects of curatorial research, exhibitions management, public relations, and museum education.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, résumé, and dates of availability to the attention of the Internship Coordinator at [email protected].
The Neue Galerie offers guided tours, which are led by a corps of experienced museum docents who volunteer as ambassadors of the museum. Training is extensive, and the tours offered by docents cover highlights of the special exhibition and the permanent collection.
