With the birthday party of the most beautiful girl in the class coming in less than three weeks, and troubled, self-involved parents at home, the diffident fourteen-year-old, Maik, has a lot on his mind. Then suddenly, the unexpected arrival of the exciting new classmate, Tschick, creates quite a stir. Soon the two outsiders boldly decide to hit the road in an old “borrowed” light-blue Lada.
