Vienna today. Karl meets the beautiful Nini from Vienna and falls head over heels, but loses her phone number. All he knows about her is that she spends every birthday at the famous Café Sacher. Determined to find her, Karl puts his life in Berlin on hold and travels to Vienna, only to sit at Café Sacher every day at 3:00pm waiting for her. There, he meets Miriam, who shows him around Vienna on his search for true love.

This screening is presented as part of the Fall/Winter 2024 Filmbar Series, “This is Vienna.” The series explores the city that both inspired and defined the artistic journey of Egon Schiele, and is organized in conjunction with the special exhibition, “Egon Schiele: Living Landscapes.”
