Handcrafted by artisans in the Yucatán, henequén is a natural plant fiber extracted from the leaves of agave fourcroydes, a species indigenous to the Yucatán Peninsula. Prized for its beauty and strength, Henequén textiles become more luminous and supple with use.

Dyed by hand with traditional techniques, some pigment transfer may be expected. Normal use and prolonged exposure to the sun may cause changes to the fiber’s color. Store inside the included cotton dust cover in a cool and dry place, out of direct sunlight.

May be professionally cleaned. For light stains, you may use a damp cloth and mild soap. Professional dry cleaning is recommended for all leather. Do not overload the weight in your bag, that can modify the shape of the fiber and leather.
